Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan will be held this year, and all polling stations around the country will be equipped with video cameras.
The Ministry of Communications & High Technologies informs that Aztelekom LLC and Baku Production Telephone Communications Department (BTRIB) have already begun equipping the polling stations. For this purpose, the Central Election Commission (CEC) has defined the parameters of required fiber-optic lines, video cameras and their number.
Video surveillance in Baku will be installed at 226 polling stations and in regions at about 1,000 ones. The CCTV system will allow any citizen of the country to observe the voting process through the CEC website.
