Tobacco production plays significant role in industry, especially in agriculture. In the Nakhchivan AR, tobacco planting areas are expanding from year to year, which contributes to the development of the tobacco industry in Azerbaijan.

"Cahan Holding" attaches special importance to tobacco farming in Nakhchivan AR in order to develop tobacco industry in Azerbaijan. The "Cahan Tobacco International" company, which is part of the Holding, has started planting tobacco in the Sharur, Babek and Kangarli regions of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and this year the productivity will be increased by the area of 10 ha.
