InterFood Azerbaijan – Multi-Million Dollar Contracts Signed

On May 16, the 30th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Exhibition «Food Industry» InterFood Azerbaijan concluded its work at the Baku Expo Center. The event took place simultaneously with the largest exhibition in the Caspian region in the field of agriculture and food industry – the 18th Azerbaijan International Exhibition «Agriculture» Caspian Agro. Both exhibitions, which have become national brands, were organized by CaspianEvent Organisers and its partners Caspian Event Management and ICA Events.
A key indication of the events’ significance was the visit to Caspian Agro and InterFood Azerbaijan by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The head of state reviewed the numerous exhibits at the Baku Expo Center. The exhibitions attracted leading entrepreneurs, local and international experts, importers, exporters, and distributors of agricultural products and facilitated the exchange of experience, knowledge, and innovation. VIP guests and heads of institutions who spoke at the opening of the event emphasized the exceptional role of InterFood Azerbaijan in ensuring food security and developing a food culture.
Taking into account the wishes of participants and visitors, the exhibitions lasted four days this year. According to the organizers, this new project format promoted greater interaction between participants and visitors. Notably, during the days of the exhibitions, promising business agreements were signed between participants, including both local and international entrepreneurs, and multi-million dollar cooperation contracts were concluded.
Around 450 companies representing more than thirty countries participated in the InterFood Azerbaijan and Caspian Agro exhibitions, which occupied all pavilions and the open-air area of the Baku Expo Center. Among the leading participants were «Azersun», «Beta», «Futura», Ganja Automobile Plant, «John Deer», «Kronen», «Landini», «Lindsay», «Lovol», «Metak», «Miratorg», «New Holland», «Solis», «Valley» and others.
This year, InterFood Azerbaijan marks its 30th anniversary. Over this period, the exhibition has become an effective business platform, welcoming over 3,000 companies and industry leaders from nearly fifty countries, as well as more than 150,000 visitors. The new technologies and innovative solutions presented at the exhibition create favorable opportunities for the development of the food industry and the expansion of business ties. InterFood Azerbaijan addresses key aspects of food security and plays an important role in its formation and strengthening.
InterFood Azerbaijan showcased products and services in such areas as the food industry, beverages, confectionery, dairy products, baked goods, fruits and vegetables, packaging, food technology, halal products, and other sectors.
A rich business program was organized as part of both exhibitions. In the presentation zone, the 2nd International Agrarian Innovation Forum was held. The anniversary program of InterFood Azerbaijan included an exhibition of drawings on the theme of pomegranates created by children from the inclusive society «Ümid var». These works decorated the evening reception, during which a charity auction of the presented artworks took place.
As part of the InterFood Azerbaijan exhibition, the traditional International Culinary Championship "Zolotoy Shah 2025" was held, organized by the Azerbaijan Culinary Specialists Association. This is a licensed event held in accordance with international standards and rules of the World Association of Chefs’ Societies ("Worldchefs"). Representatives from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, and Uzbekistan participated in the championship. More than three hundred chefs competed as individual participants in more than ten categories. Spectators and fans from many countries around the world followed the championship with great interest.
Caspian Agro and InterFood Azerbaijan exhibitions received active support from the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AQTA), the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (KOBİA), the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency – AZPROMO, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK), the Azerbaijan Food and Beverage Industrialists Association (AQİSA), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and the Azerbaijan Exhibition Organizers Association (ASTA).
