Latifa Ahmadova, Member of the Board of the Azerbaijan Women Entrepreneurship Development Association (AQSIA)
— Our organization, established in 2017, has successfully implemented many valuable projects to date. Under the leadership of Sakina Babayeva, AQSIA continues its active work and development. Women from almost all regions of our country have joined and continue to join the association. Women can cooperate with us and engage in entrepreneurship even from home. We provide them with advice, guidance, and support along this path. The entrepreneurial potential of women is in no way weaker than that of men. Personally, I have been involved in entrepreneurship for 30 years. Since 2018, I have been engaged in manufacturing activities and continue to move forward very actively in this field.
Currently, AQSIA has nearly 5,000 members involved in entrepreneurship, including company executives. Among our members are also the wives of martyrs and war veterans who are engaged in entrepreneurial activities. Our association organizes local and international events, including forums and conferences, training sessions and seminars, conducts scientific research and sociological surveys, as well as evaluation and monitoring activities aimed at developing women’s entrepreneurship. We also carry out awareness campaigns and educational initiatives.
At exhibitions organized by ITECA, we share information about these activities, because such exhibitions provide an excellent opportunity for networking and communication. We reconnect with people who already know us and exchange ideas with them. For those unfamiliar with our work, we provide detailed information. The number of our members is growing, and the areas of cooperation are expanding. Since several members of the association work in the agricultural and food sectors, we are participating in this exhibition and witnessing strong interest in these women’s activities. We are confident that, as a result of the exhibition, their businesses and activities will expand even further.
