Mammad Ghanifayev, Export Manager of “Meysari”
Our company, founded in 2017, is positioned in the premium segment and is the only producer of organic wines in the South Caucasus. The company holds an environmental certificate, and in the near future it is planned to obtain a certificate from “Kiwa”, which will allow us to export products not only to Europe but also to America, Japan, and other countries.
This year at the InterFood exhibition, we are offering visitors not only our well-known and well-established products, but also a new product line, which includes two new wines — “Esmer” and “Mahrur”. These wines are made using local mono-varieties of grapes: for “Esmer” the Bayati Shiraz variety is used, and for “Mahrur” the Matrasa variety. At present, the company is expanding its vineyards with a focus on local mono-varieties, so that in the future the wines will be closely connected to their specific place of origin.
In addition, the company’s new product is presented at the exhibition — grappa by “Meysari”. The drink is currently at the development stage, and production is expected to be launched soon. Grappa is made from Muscat grapes and their seeds, giving it a distinctive aroma and taste. It is important for us to understand how the product will be received in the domestic market as well as in export markets, so a small tasting of a preliminary version of the drink has been organized for visitors at the exhibition.
As a local producer, we are primarily interested in participating in the exhibition in order to present our product to foreign participants and visitors. The exhibition fully meets our expectations. The opportunity to taste “Meysari” wines in the exhibition halls presents our products in their best light to potential partners. I believe we will see positive results from the exhibition in the near future.
