“Fresh Market” is a retail chain operating 250 stores in Moscow and the Moscow Region. We have a large warehouse in the Moscow suburbs, where we centrally receive and distribute products. We are primarily interested in fruits and vegetables from Azerbaijan. Supplies in this product segment account for 90 percent of our imports.
We work with many countries, including Azerbaijan. Your country offers a very wide range of fruit and vegetable products, which creates a strong interest in Azerbaijan and attracts us to this exhibition. I held meetings both with companies we already cooperate with and with those interested in future collaboration. Personal meetings and direct contacts are always important and more effective. With our partners, we discuss the results of previous cooperation, identify mistakes and challenges, develop solutions, and share future plans. With new partners, we establish contacts and study their capabilities and product quality.
I would also like to specifically note the level of agricultural development in Azerbaijan. I visited Baku in 2017, and now I can see how much the approach to business, logistics, product quality, certification, and analysis has improved for the better. Whereas previously we had to work with small farms, today these are large agro-complexes, plantations, and orchards.
Overall, the exhibition made a very positive impression on me — the level of the companies, the variety of products, and most importantly, the natural quality of the products being offered. I would like to thank the organizers for the invitation.
